Julie R. Vasady-Kovacs

Julie R. Vasady-Kovacs is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in risk management, ethics, and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as the MTA Agency Ethics and Compliance Training & Communications Officer and Chief Compliance Counsel at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority since 2017, Julie oversees internal control risk management and fosters a culture of compliance. Prior roles include Deputy Secretary to the Governor and Chief Risk Officer in the Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, and various positions in compliance and legal counsel at notable organizations such as Axiom, E*TRADE Financial, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley. Julie holds multiple degrees, including a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University, specializing in Russian Language and Literature.
