Juliette Michaelson serves as the Acting Director of MTA Arts & Design at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority since October 2019, previously holding roles such as Deputy Chief Policy & External Relations Officer and Project Manager for MTA Transformation. In 2023, Juliette was Executive Director of the Traffic Mobility Review Board. From 2007 to 2019, Juliette was Executive Vice President at the Regional Plan Association, where leadership included overseeing the Fourth Regional Plan and managing public engagement and funding strategies. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President for Strategy and Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Regional Plan Association, where Juliette established a global network of transit executives and authored impactful reports on transit service and property values. Prior professional history includes Project Manager at Project for Public Spaces, facilitating collaboration between municipalities and state departments of transportation. Juliette holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Princeton University.
