Brian LeCouteur has extensive experience in environmental planning and urban forestry, currently serving as Principal Environmental Planner, Regional Urban Forester, and Agricultural Programs Manager at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments since September 1993. Over a 20-year span, Brian managed the regional urban forestry program, overseeing the planning and execution of over 120 environmental restoration events that resulted in the planting of over 16,000 trees and shrubs. Prior roles include Senior Environmental Planner, Urban Forester, and various positions at TechLaw, Inc., Michael Baker Corporation, Fairfax County Government, and Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography/Urban Planning from the University of Mary Washington.
