George Kinzfogl, MD, serves as the Chief of Cardiology at MetroWest Medical Center since 2004, focusing on enhancing healthcare systems and patient care. Kinzfogl also chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, overseeing drug efficacy evaluations and formulary recommendations, and directs Cardiac MRI and Echocardiography. In addition to clinical roles, Kinzfogl is a clinical cardiologist at the Heart Center of MetroWest and holds leadership positions as Treasurer and Vice President of a cardiology practice affiliated with Tufts Medical Center. In the realm of research, Kinzfogl engages in clinical trials related to acute coronary syndromes and other cardiovascular concerns. Educationally, Kinzfogl is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center and previously instructed at Harvard Medical School, training cardiology fellows. Kinzfogl's extensive training includes numerous board certifications and residencies at prestigious institutions, complemented by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
