Sanni Turunen is an experienced project manager specializing in marine and coastal biodiversity, currently coordinating the LIFE-IP BIODIVERSEA project at Metsähallitus since February 2020. Sanni previously served as a senior specialist at the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, managing key projects focused on reducing eutrophication in the Baltic Sea and overseeing multiple water management initiatives. Sanni's career includes roles in research and project coordination at various organizations, including the University of Helsinki and Saimaan Vesi- ja ympäristötutkimus Oy. Sanni holds a Master of Science in Environmental Ecology and further education in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Eastern Finland. Additionally, Sanni has completed studies at the University of St Andrews.
