Georgina Griffiths

Georgina Griffiths is an experienced meteorologist with a diverse background in climate science and weather forecasting. Currently serving as the Manager Consulting for Australia and New Zealand at MetService since April 2013, Georgina also holds the position of Local Meteorologist in Auckland. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Climate Scientist at NIWA from 2009 to April 2013 and Director at WeatherEye Limited from 2006 to 2009, where part-time meteorology consulting was undertaken while raising a family. Earlier in the career, Georgina worked as a Climate Scientist at NIWA from 1996 to 2006 and as a Forecaster at MetService from 1993 to 1996. Georgina holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Statistics from The University of Auckland and a Diploma of Applied Science in Meteorology from Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by education from Rangitoto College.
