James Koulovatos

James Koulovatos is an experienced investment consultant currently working with HASI's FTN investments team, focusing on the origination, structuring, and financing of Renewable Natural Gas transactions since August 2022. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Vice President in Energy Services at Bank of America from October 2021 to July 2022. James also held the position of Vice President Finance at Ameresco from May 2002 to April 2021, where responsibilities included structuring and financing energy and renewable energy transactions, successfully securing over $1 billion in third-party financing. Additionally, James directed the structured finance function across various business units and played a significant role in developing and financing a $195 million federal Energy Savings Performance Contract for a biomass cogeneration plant. James holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, completed in August 1992.
