Ian Barnard is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries in Africa. Currently serving as President Africa at Metso since July 2020, Ian Barnard is responsible for Capex sales, service, and customer support, overseeing 14 Vice Presidents and Directors with a workforce of 560 employees. Prior experience includes positions as President - Sub Sahara Africa at Outotec, Regional Director - Africa at JCB, and CEO - South Africa at Kemach Equipment. Ian Barnard also held roles at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Bell Equipment, Cummins Inc., and Anglo American, demonstrating a strong background in sales, operations, and engineering management. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
