Eduardo Casas serves as a Staff Attorney at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), focusing on Immigrant and Voting Rights programs since February 2023. Eduardo’s past experience includes a position as an Inaugural Fellow at the Loyola Anti-Racism Center, where research on Thirteenth Amendment history under the guidance of Associate Dean Kathleen Kim was conducted. Additionally, Eduardo externed at the Law Office of Carol A. Sobel, working on a class action lawsuit related to police response during the 2020 protests, and assisted pro se litigants as an Appellate Self-Help Clinic Extern at Public Counsel. Earlier roles included research assistance on legislative redistricting and COVID-19 litigation issues at Loyola Law School, and participation in a COVID-19 Related Bankruptcy Clinic. Eduardo holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor's degree in History and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
