Nishant Upadhyay

Nishant Upadhyay is a seasoned professional in the field of architecture and cultural heritage conservation, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for Asia & the Middle East at Meyvaert since June 2025. Nishant is also the Founder Architect of DHARATAL, leading community-based cultural heritage rejuvenation projects. As a Visiting Faculty member at the National Institute of Design, Nishant engages students in modules that bridge cultural heritage assets with contemporary design. Additionally, Nishant holds a position on the Board of Study of Architecture, Planning & Design at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and previously served as an Executive Committee Member for ICOMOS, focusing on cultural heritage conservation initiatives. Nishant's experience includes consulting for UNESCO on national heritage strategies and managing World Heritage sites in the Indian subcontinent. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Conservation of Monuments and Sites from KU Leuven and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Government College of Architecture, Lucknow.
