Thomas Compton

Thomas Compton is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in municipal research and public finance. Currently serving as Co-Head of Municipal Research at MFS Investment Management since November 2015, Thomas has held various roles including Fixed Income Research Associate Team Lead and Investment Officer - Fixed Income Research Analyst. Prior experience includes working as an Analyst in the Public Finance Group at Moody's Investors Service from August 2010 to November 2015 and as a Senior Administrative Analyst for the City of Boston. Thomas's career began with an Administration and Finance Internship at the City of Boston and an internship in the personal office of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, focusing on commerce and banking legislation. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, both from the University of New Hampshire.
