Project Manager at MGA Thermal

Peter Wilson has a varied work experience spanning over 20 years. Peter started their career in 2000 as General Manager and Production Manager at Redbank Power, where they were responsible for strategic planning, HSSE, operations, industrial relations, commercial and engineering aspects. In 2015, they moved to ENGIE E&P as Project Manager (Decommissioning) & Station Manager Production - GDF Suez, where they managed the decommissioning of 8 x 220MW power plants with a budget of $40 million. In 2017, they joined AGL Australia as Project Manager (Outages), where they managed all capital works for Bayswater Unit 1 and Liddell Unit 4 outages, delivered the planning phase of Liddell 4 closedown, managed the sourcing and ordering of all material and equipment requirements, and monitored delivery dates. In 2019, they worked as a Disability Support Worker at Disability Services. Currently, they are working as a Project Manager at MGA Thermal, where they are responsible for engineering and project management of a novel thermal energy storage block manufacturing facility.

Peter Wilson completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney. Peter also holds a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from OTR Training (2011), an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from the University of Ballerat (2007), and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training from Focus on Safety (2005).
