Shaji Varghese

Shaji is an Audit Partner at MGO’s New York Metropolitan Office, where he brings over 25 years of experience managing audit engagements for clients ranging from startups to multi-billion dollar organizations. He is an expert in a number of areas, including financial statement audits of private and public companies, complex equity transactions, and SEC reporting. He enjoys sharing his expertise by speaking on topics such as the new Revenue Recognition and Leasing Standards at professional events, roundtables, and conferences.

Prior to joining MGO, Shaji spent a substantial portion of his time as a Partner in a large, internationally registered public accounting firm, where he focused on auditing public and private companies across various industries, including financial services, life sciences and biotech, real estate, software and technology, and manufacturing. Shaji uses his valuable, creative insight and cultivated technical skills in these industries to see his projects’ big picture point of view and deepen client relationships, as well as applies a mentor-coach leadership style with everyone he works with.
