Alan Jones

Alan Jones is a seasoned information security professional with a comprehensive background in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at MGT Consulting since July 2024, Alan is tasked with aligning global information security strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Prior experience includes directing security services at Layer 3 Communications, where Alan developed and implemented an information security services practice, and acting as Director of Information Technology at Luckie & Company, where Alan successfully virtualized the organization's infrastructure and established a business continuity plan. Early career roles included Senior Systems Engineer at TekLinks, Systems Engineer at Pomeroy Computer Resources, and UNIX Systems Engineer at Regions Financial Corporation. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College.
