Kim Bohince

Director, Global Health at MHRP

Ms. Bohince serves as Director for the Department of HIV Prevention and Treatment and is responsible for directing the HJF component of the US Military HIV Research Program (MHRP)/Walter Reed Army Institute of Research’s (WRAIR) PEPFAR program. In this role, Ms. Bohince provides technical and strategic guidance and oversight to 400+ HJF personnel located at overseas sites in Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda, and is responsible for securing all necessary mechanisms behind obligation of program funding through HJF. With an annual operating budget of $100M USD, Ms. Bohince ensures all programmatic and financial efforts are aligned and in accordance with the U.S Department of State’s Office of Global AIDS Coordinator’s Office. Ms. Bohince has over 15 years of global health experience working in sub-Sarahan Africa and has previously served as Peace Corps volunteer in Eastern Europe. She is a native of Pennsylvania and currently resides in the Washington, DC area.
