Nicole Sheppard, MA, LPCC, has extensive experience in counseling and mental health, currently serving as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at MHS since November 2016. Specializing in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and adoption-competent therapy, particularly for transracial and international adoption issues, Nicole also conducts diagnostic assessments and supervises clinical interns. Previous roles include Project Manager for a mental health initiative at the Korean Adoptees Ministry Center and Principal Investigator for a research study on adoption-related grief at the University of St. Thomas. Nicole holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and has participated in diverse research projects related to PTSD and childhood language development in internationally adopted individuals.
