John C. Martin, Ph.D.

John C. Martin, Ph.D. has a long and varied work experience. John C. started out as a Member of Professional Staff at Software Engineering Technology, Inc in 1996. In 1998, they moved to Wisdom Software, Ltd, where they served as VP Operations and Chief Engineer. In 2002, they became a Software Engineering Consultant for Self Employed. In 2004, they founded Small Bear Technical Consulting, LLC and served as President and Senior Consultant. In 2011, they founded Small Bear Technologies, Inc and served as Founder and CTO. In 2016, they joined Vortext Analytics, Inc as SVP, CTO, and Chief Data Scientist. In 2017, they co-founded SESERA and also served as CTO at Lirio. Most recently, in 2020, they became Director of Machine Learning at M I Technical Solutions, Inc.

John C. Martin, Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Milligan College. John C. then went on to pursue their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
