Luke Braidwood

Luke Braidwood is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in genome editing and RNA silencing technologies. Currently serving as Team Lead for the GEiGS Team at Tropic since June 2021, Luke leads the development of proprietary technology, collaborates with various teams to drive sales objectives, and oversees the recruitment and development of a research team. Previously, as a Research Scientist at Tropic, Luke managed significant research projects, developed technical pipelines, and contributed to regulatory submissions. Earlier roles include post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge focused on RNAi maize lines, and entrepreneurial efforts across various educational and research positions. Luke holds a PhD in Plant Sciences and a Master's in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
