Javier Perez-Hickman

Javier Perez-Hickman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital infrastructure, data center operations, and project management. Currently serving as Faculty and Adjunct Faculty at Miami Dade College since June 2023, Javier also holds the position of Vice President of Digital Infrastructure & Transformation at Gold Star Group since January 2022. Previously, Javier was a Senior Manager at Equinix, where responsibilities included program and project management for data center operations. During a notable tenure at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Javier managed strategic planning and operations for global cloud data centers. Prior experience includes directing network operations for Latin American Nautilus and overseeing IT infrastructure operations at TODO1 Services Inc. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Data Analytics from Georgia Institute of Technology, a certificate in Big Data and Social Analytics from MIT, and advanced degrees in Telecommunications Management and Computer Science from Universidad Simón Bolívar and Universidad Central de Venezuela, respectively.
