Melany Valderrama

Melany Valderrama is an experienced product designer and educator with a strong background in UX/UI and product management. Currently serving as a Product Design Strategy & Facilitator for Miami Dade College's Apple Community Education initiative, Melany enhances student learning by applying design thinking principles to software engineering education. Previous roles include Lead Product Design at 15Five, where Melany focused on end-to-end design strategies to improve employee engagement in growing companies, and Sr. UX Interaction Designer at GE Digital, contributing to large-scale product redesigns and the development of a multi-brand design system. Additional experience includes teaching UX methodologies and career coaching at BrainStation and Springboard, and various design and research roles at Royal Caribbean International, Citi, Discovery Communications, and Wyncode Academy. Melany holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising, Business, and Communication Studies from the University of Florida.
