James Woolley

James Woolley serves as the Executive Director of the Miami Film Festival since October 2023, contributing to the promotion of International, American, and Ibero-American films to Miami's diverse community. Previously, James held the Executive Director position at Frameline, the world's largest LGBTQ+ film festival, from August 2019 to September 2023. Additionally, James was a member of the selection panel at Flickerfest from 2014 to 2023 and managed marketing for the Sydney Film Festival from November 2016 to August 2019. James has extensive experience in festival management, having served as the Festival Manager for Queerscreen from 2013 to 2017 and in various roles related to ticketing and customer relations at notable film festivals in Australia. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Macquarie University and a Diploma in Screen, Film/Cinema/Video Studies from TAFE NSW.
