Karen Merrill

Karen Merrill is the current Executive Assistant to the President at Miami Heat. Prior to their current position, they were the Director of Division/Corporate Finance at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. from April 2018 to February 2019. In this role, they were responsible for budgeting, long-range planning, daily financial operations, and month-end close. Karen also worked with different functions and levels within the company to secure buy-in and drive strategic plan execution and continuous process improvement.

Before Williams-Sonoma, Merrill was the Vice President of Wholesale Financial Planning and Analysis at BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP from November 2006 to September 2017. In this role, they were responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the wholesale business. Karen also managed a team of finance professionals and was responsible for their development and growth.

Merrill began their career as a Sr. Business Manager at Lucky Brand in April 2005 and held this position until February 2006. In this role, they were responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business and ensuring that all targets were met.

Karen Merrill has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Karen Merrill reports to Adam Simon, VP, Basketball Operations/Assistant General Manager. They work with Jeff Saunders - Scouting Operations Assistant, Glen Rice - Scout/Team Ambassador, and Jack Fitzgerald - Scout.
