Jim Schultheiss

Jim Schultheiss has had extensive work experience in the credit union industry. Jim is currently serving as the President & CEO of Miami University and Community Federal Credit Union since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at TruPartner Credit Union from March 2017 to April 2021.

Before joining TruPartner Credit Union, Jim held significant positions at Chaco Credit Union. Jim served as the President & CEO from October 2004 to September 2016, where they successfully transitioned the credit union to a community credit union. Jim also held the role of Vice President, Member Services at Chaco Credit Union from April 2001 to September 2004, where they implemented a member business lending program and motivated the staff to provide high-quality financial services.

Jim's previous experience includes working as the Chief Executive Officer at ALLWEALTH Federal Credit Union from March 1997 to April 2001, where they focused on membership growth and added convenient services. Jim also worked as a Loan Officer & Accountant at Opportunities Credit Union from June 1996 to March 1997, where they created financial solutions for individuals with disabilities in Vermont.

Earlier in their career, Jim served as the Vice President of Finance at Miami University and Community Federal Credit Union from May 1994 to May 1996, where they automated accounting systems and expanded services. Jim also worked as an Accountant at Chaco Credit Union from January 1992 to May 1994, where they provided financial assurance and supported resource allocation decisions.

Through their various roles, Jim has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational skills in the credit union industry.

Jim Schultheiss earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miami University in 1992. Jim has also obtained several certifications such as Credit Union Development Educator from various institutions including the Association of British Credit Unions, the Credit Union National Association, the Credit Union Foundation Australia Pty Limited, and the National Credit Union Foundation between 2000 and 2004. Additionally, they have certifications as a Business Development Trainer in Sales Strategies and Service Strategies from the Credit Union National Association in 2003 and 2002 respectively.
