Daniel Olthaus

Daniel Olthaus is an experienced facilities management professional with a background that includes significant leadership roles in building maintenance and operations. Currently serving as the Director of Building Maintenance at Miami University since March 2019, Daniel previously held the position of Director of Maintenance at West Virginia University from January 2009 to February 2019. Prior experience includes a notable 30-year tenure in the United States Navy as a Naval Nuclear Power Plant Operator, where Daniel qualified as an Engineering Watch Supervisor. Additionally, from January 2006 to January 2009, Daniel served as Deputy Director of the General Services Division for the State of West Virginia, overseeing the operation and maintenance of state facilities. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from West Virginia University and has completed specialized training at Naval Nuclear Power School, along with earning the Educational Facilities Professional designation from the Association of Physical Plant Administrators.
