Melissa Thomasson serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty Excellence and Chair of Economics at Miami University's Farmer School of Business since 1998, along with holding the title of Julian Lange Professor of Economics. Melissa's research expertise focuses on the economic development of the U.S. In addition, Melissa is a member of the Board of Directors for Community Health Alliance and serves as the Executive Director of the Cliometric Society, while being a member of the Board of Trustees for Bethesda, Inc. since 2016. Melissa has also maintained a role as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 1999. Melissa obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona.
