Richard Tews

Richard Tews currently serves as the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Miami University since October 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure at the University of Northern Iowa from August 2009 to June 2022 as the Director of Debate/Instructor, where Richard managed a competitive debate team, supervised research projects, and taught courses on research and public speaking. Additionally, Richard held the position of Assistant Director of Forensics at Weber State University from July 2004 to July 2009, with similar responsibilities related to debate team management and course development. Richard began academic career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Miami University from August 2002 to May 2004 while pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication Studies. Richard holds a MA in Communication Studies and a BA in Political Science, both from Miami University.
