Stephen Friedland

Chief Architect at MIB

Stephen Friedland has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technology and architecture. Stephen started their career at Cardinal Group International as a Contract Consultant in 1998, followed by similar roles at State Street Bank, Digitas, and Bank of America. In 2000, they joined Digitas as a Principal Software Engineer and later became their Vice President, Architect.

In 2012, Stephen took on the role of Director of Technology at Boathouse, where they led the technology practice and worked closely with clients to solve their business and marketing problems. Stephen also served as the Technology Director and Architect for Speedbilly.com, a startup car buying service incubated at Boathouse.

From 2013 to 2015, Stephen worked as the Principal Software Engineer and Technology Lead at Shoebuy.com, where they provided technology leadership and oversaw successful e-commerce projects using an Agile methodology.

In 2015, Stephen joined Ixxus as the Technical Architect, responsible for various client engagements and the day-to-day activities of content management and workflow implementations. In 2017, they took on the additional role of Regional Director, leading the Ixxus U.S. office.

Currently, Stephen is the Chief Architect at MIB Group, Inc., where they lead the Enterprise Architecture practice, sets architectural standards, oversees technology projects, and manages the Enterprise Architecture team.

Stephen Friedland has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Northeastern University, which they completed between 1979 and 1985. Stephen also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) from Boston University, earned between 1995 and 2001. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, as well as being a Competent Toastmaster through Toastmasters International.
