James Hamilton

James Hamilton is an experienced professional in the heliskiing industry, currently serving as the Assistant Guiding Manager at Mica Heliskiing since December 2021, where responsibilities include managing daily operations and overseeing private heliskiing and film projects. Previously, James held the position of General Manager at Southern Lakes Heliski from December 2017 to June 2023 and served as Chief Guide at the same company from July 2012 to January 2017. Additional experience includes field training and safety roles with Antarctica New Zealand and the Australian Antarctic Division, as well as managerial positions at Mt Olympus Ski Area and Southern Alps Heliski. James's educational background includes a Foundation degree in Communication and Media Studies from the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association and a Diploma in Ski Patrol from Tai Pountini Polytechnic, complemented by secondary education from Christ's College.
