Bill Kontess is an accomplished architect and project manager with extensive experience in the architectural and engineering fields. Since October 2014, Bill has served as Associate Vice President at Michael Baker International, where responsibilities include establishing an Architectural and Federal practice in the Anchorage office. Prior roles include serving as President of the Alaska Air Show Association, Director of the Buildings Division at WHPacific, Project Manager at kpb architects, and Chief of Engineering Department at URS Corporation. Bill's military background as a Civil Engineering officer in the United States Air Force spans nearly two decades, culminating in leadership positions such as Commander of the Engineering & Operations Flight at the 611th Civil Engineer Squadron. Bill holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Arizona State University, a Master of Public Administration from Troy University, and a Certificate in Environmental Management from The George Washington University.
