Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith is an accomplished medical professional currently serving as the Chief of the Department of Medicine and Program Medical Director of the Medicine Health Service at Michael Garron Hospital since July 2012. Smith also holds multiple leadership positions, including General Internist, President, and Vice President of the Medical Staff Association, as well as Medical Director of Virtual and Integrated Network Care Delivery and Education Director in the Division of General Internal Medicine. In addition to these roles, Smith is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of caregiVR, and an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the University of Toronto. Prior experience includes a fellowship at Healthcare Excellence Canada and serving as Chief Medical Resident at the University Health Network. Smith's educational background includes an MD from the University of Ottawa, a Master's Certificate in Physician Leadership Development from the Schulich School of Business, and a BScH in Biochemistry from Queen's University.
