Chanel Samuels

Program Officer, South Africa at Michael & Susan Dell Foundation

Chanel is part of South Africa’s education portfolio team, focused on developing and scaling low-cost, innovative school models and personalized learning interventions to improve learning outcomes for learners from low-income backgrounds. She joins the foundation from A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm, where she was responsible for leading project teams as an engagement manager. Prior to this, she worked in a small town in the interior of South Africa at an underground coal mine as a geologist. Chanel holds a postgraduate diploma in business administration from Wits Business School, as well as a bachelor’s degree in geology and chemistry from the University of Cape Town.
