Clm Maria Black

Maria Black has a diverse work experience starting in 2003 as an Office Manager and Legal Assistant at a law office. Maria then worked for the City of Chicago from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they were a Regional Office Administrator at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP from 2016 to 2019. Maria then worked as an Office Administrator at Ogletree Deakins from 2019 to 2023. Currently, they are the Firmwide Director of Administration and Office Operations at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP.

Maria Black, CLM, holds a Bachelor's Degree in American Government and Politics (United States) from North Park University. Maria also completed the SHRM Essentials of HR Management Certificate Program at DePaul University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained additional certifications, including the Certified Legal Manager (CLM) from the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) in May 2021. Maria also completed the Managing for Impact Leadership Program at Loeb Leadership in March 2022.
