Becky Schu

Becky (Ben) Schu (Xu), PhD, currently serves as the R&D Director for Advanced Materials MPM at Michelin, overseeing multiple material programs across North and Central Americas and leading the development of innovative tire solutions. Previously, Becky worked at Sherwin-Williams as a Senior R&D Technical Manager, where responsibilities included executing materials science research projects and crafting a global strategy for materials science. Prior experience includes a role as R&D Manager at Avery Dennison, managing projects and implementing innovation strategies, as well as serving as a Senior Rheologist/Materials Scientist focused on rheology and thermal analysis. Becky holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and has specialized training in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering was earned from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
