Carma Peters

Vice Chair at Michigan Credit Union League

Carma Peters is the Director at Michigan Credit Union League. Carma has over two decades of experience in the credit union industry, having served in various management positions.

Peters began their career in 1990 as a loan officer at Cascade Federal Credit Union. In 1997, they became the Member Service Support Manager at White House Federal Credit Union. Three years later, they were promoted to Executive Vice President at Affinity Group Credit Union.

In 2003, Peters took on the role of CEO at Wy-South Federal Credit Union. During their tenure, they oversaw the construction of a new branch and a data processing conversion. Peters was responsible for 24 employees and two branches.

In 2014, Peters joined Michigan Legacy Credit Union as Director. In this position, they are responsible for the overall management and operation of the credit union.

Carma Peters attended Pleasant Valley High School and Monroe Community College, where they studied general studies. Carma then went on to receive certification from Madison Area Technical College in P5 Women's Summit 2020 Participant and from NAFCU (National Association of Federal Credit Unions) in NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer.
