Chris Cook

Chris Cook has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Chris started their career at Dart Container, where they held positions as the Regional Pricing and Policies Manager and later as the National Account Pricing and Policies Manager. In 2007, they joined MCDC as a Credit Analyst, where they managed applications for SBA 504 and 7(a) loans. Since 2011, they have been working at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Chris initially started as a Capital Services Associate, where they conducted outreach to commercial lenders and small businesses. Chris then moved on to become a Business Capital Relationship Manager, responsible for developing and implementing programs to help small businesses access capital. In 2015, they were promoted to Director of Capital Access and was responsible for program development, operation, and oversight of all MEDC programs related to commercial finance and increasing the availability of capital to Michigan-based small businesses. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director - Capital Access at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Chris Cook attended Michigan State University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Supply Chain Management.
