Cindy Birdwell has extensive work experience in the field of public safety and security. Cindy began their career in 1991 as an Assistant Director of Security at Michigan International Speedway. In 1998, they joined Siena Heights University and held various roles, including Director of Public Safety, Chief Public Safety, Title IX Coordinator, and Risk Manager.

Cindy Birdwell pursued their education starting in 1999 at Eastern Michigan University, where they studied police staff and command for one year. Following this, they attended Siena Heights University from 2000 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Security Administration.
