Amani Johnson

Amani Johnson is an experienced leader in advocacy, education, and political strategy. Currently serving as the Statewide Manager at the Michigan League of Conservation Voters since February 2023, Amani designs and drives the work of regional Advocacy & Outreach teams. Previous roles include Southeast Michigan Regional Coordinator for Southfield Public Schools, School Board Trustee, and serving various positions with the Michigan House Democratic Fund and The Guerrilla Politic. Amani has also held leadership roles in multiple political campaigns, including Field Director for Jim Haadsma for State Representative and Deputy Campaign Manager for Andy Meisner for Oakland County Executive. In addition to campaign work, Amani has served as a Substitute Teacher in Oakland County and was the Chief Executive Officer at Vega Virtual Solutions. Amani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public & Non-Profit Administration from Central Michigan University.
