Robert Jenkins

Quality Programs Manager at Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center

Robert Jenkins has over 20 years of work experience in the automotive industry. From 1996 to 2000, they worked at Ford Motor Company as a Quality Manager for New and Emerging Markets. During their time there, they were awarded for the development of a SIM metrics project and facilitated Ford 2000, reducing warranty by $500M per year at ACD. Robert also developed quality systems for plants internationally. From 2007 to 2012, Jenkins worked at 47 Degree North Ventures as a Principal Consultant, providing various consulting contacts. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Cooper Standard as a Group Quality Manager, Sr., mentoring quality managers in 22 FCA (Chrysler supplier) plants. Most recently, Jenkins has been the Quality Programs Manager at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) since 2015, providing executive consulting in quality program development.

Robert Jenkins has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Business from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Wayne State University. Robert also holds four certifications from ExemplarGlobal, the National Association of Purchasing Managers - San Diego, and ASQ, including a Certified Quality Systems Auditor - IATF16949/13485/ISO9001 obtained in October 2015.
