Lydia Schaafsma

Lydia Schaafsma currently serves as a Program Associate at the Michigan Municipal League since May 2023. Prior experience includes an internship as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, where responsibilities encompassed project management, research on carbon neutrality, and administrative support. Lydia has also contributed as a Poll Worker for the City of Ann Arbor from November 2018 to August 2022, gaining experience in voter assistance and election processes. Additionally, Lydia held a position as a Host at Mani Osteria & Bar in 2021. Lydia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts in April 2023 and graduated with a High School Diploma from Pioneer High School in June 2019.
