Bruce Patterson

Parliamentarian at Michigan Republican Party

Bruce Patterson has extensive experience in public service and legal consultation, currently serving as an Election Canvasser for the Wayne County Board of Election Canvassers since November 2017 and as a Parliamentarian for the Michigan Republican Party since February 2013. Previously, Bruce Patterson held the position of State Senator for the Michigan State Senate from January 2003 to December 2010, where responsibilities included Chairman of the Energy & Technology Committee and vice-chairmanships in Health Policy and Natural Resources. Prior to that, Bruce Patterson was a State Representative from January 1999 to December 2002, notable as the first freshman Associate Speaker Pro Tempore in Michigan history. Bruce Patterson's earlier roles include serving as a Wayne County Commissioner and directing Planned Giving at Eastern Michigan, alongside a long tenure as a partner at McCabe, Middleton, Patterson, Parks, & Muma. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from Wayne State University.
