Kate Dorsey

Kate Dorsey is a seasoned professional in government relations and business management, currently serving as the Manager of State and Federal Government Relations at the Michigan State Medical Society since April 2021. Prior to this role, Kate co-owned and managed Pure Barre Grosse Pointe, where effective financial management and innovative marketing strategies led to significant sales increases and enhanced community engagement through fundraising events. Kate's earlier experience includes positions as a Government Relations Project Assistant at Oakland Schools, where legislative research and stakeholder collaboration were pivotal, and as a Legislative Aide in the Michigan House of Representatives, focusing on educational policy. Kate holds both a Bachelor of Applied Arts and a Master of Arts in Communication from Central Michigan University.
