Alan Prather

Alan Prather is an experienced botanist currently serving as the Director of the Beal Botanical Garden and Campus Arboretum at Michigan State University since August 1997. Additionally, Alan holds the position of Director of the Herbarium and has previously served as the Interim Director of the Beal Botanical Garden. Alan's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Botany/Plant Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master's degree in Botany/Plant Biology from Oklahoma State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Tulsa.
