Elizabeth Matthews

Elizabeth Matthews, M.Ed., currently serves as the Assistant Director at Michigan State University, leading a team focused on intercultural and internationalization initiatives. With extensive experience in higher education, Elizabeth previously worked at Ferris State University as an International Student Advisor/Immigration Specialist and at the Illinois Institute of Technology as the Director of the International Center, where responsibilities included advising a large international student population and coordinating study abroad initiatives. Prior roles include Associate Director and Program Coordinator at Northwestern University, contributing to the advising and support of international students while managing significant budgets and staff. Elizabeth holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Dance from Michigan State University.
