Jahshua Smith

Jahshua Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist at Michigan State University since May 2022. In this role, Jahshua promotes inclusivity among students, staff, and faculty at James Madison College and collaborates on programs for underrepresented populations. Prior to this, Jahshua held various leadership positions at ALL OF THE ABOVE HIP HOP ACADEMY, focusing on youth development through creative arts, and was instrumental in program expansion and management at Michigan College Access Network. Jahshua's background also includes specialized roles in behavior treatment and community engagement, showcasing a strong commitment to educational equity and support for historically marginalized groups. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Michigan State University, earned in 2008.
