Soeren Steudel's work experience begins in 2001 when they worked as a Process Development Engineer at Applied Materials. Soeren then moved on to IMEC in 2002, where they held the position of Researcher until 2008. Soeren then became an R&D Team Leader at IMEC until 2014. At IMEC, their responsibilities included project management and technology scouting for customer R&D projects in the field of displays and large area imager. In 2014, Soeren joined MICLEDI microdisplays, where they co-founded the company and served as the CTO. Soeren is currently still in this role.
Soeren Steudel completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1996 to 2002, they attended Technische Universität Dresden and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. During their studies, in 1999 and 2000, they also studied abroad as an ERASMUS student at The University of Sheffield, focusing on Electrical Engineering. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2007, they pursued a PhD in Engineering at KU Leuven.
