Jiefeng Xi started their work experience in 2006 as a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington, where they worked until 2009. Jiefeng then moved on to Johns Hopkins University, where they continued as a Ph.D. student from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Micro-Tech (Nanjing) Co., Ltd as a Chief Engineer, and in 2017, they transitioned to the role of Chief Engineer at Micro-Tech Endoscopy.
Jiefeng Xi has a Bachelor's degree in Precision Instruments from Tsinghua University, which they obtained in 2002. Jiefeng then pursued a Master's degree in Laser and Optical Engineering at Tsinghua University from 2002 to 2005. Jiefeng continued their education at the University of Washington from 2006 to 2009, majoring in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Finally, they completed their education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where they earned a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from 2009 to 2013.

As of the end of 2018, Micro-Tech achieved an operating income of RMB 922 million and a net profit of RMB 203 million. From 2016 to 2018, the compound annual growth rate of sales revenue stood at 49.19%, much higher than other competitors in the industry .
