Mary Word

Mary Word is an experienced elearning developer with a career spanning over two decades in instructional design and course development. Currently serving as a Senior Course Developer at MicroAssist since August 2011, Mary specializes in creating custom elearning solutions and managing learning management systems for diverse clients. Prior to this role, Mary worked as an Instructional Design Programmer at SCCI from 1997 to 2010, where responsibilities included developing online tutorials for Navy training using IconAuthor on Windows and UNIX. Earlier in the career, Mary was an Author at Cortex Communications, contributing to major projects such as the award-winning HRW Language Workshop and HRW Exploring America’s Past. Mary holds a BA in Computer Science and Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and has received multimedia certification from the American Workforce Training Center.
