Magda Wood is the Chief of Learning at Micro:bit Educational Foundation. Magda has over fifteen years of experience in educational content strategy and partnerships. Magda began their career as an Education Writer for Espresso Education, where they spent six years producing editorial content and overseeing educational projects. In 2010, they became Head of Content Strategy and Partnerships at Tes, where they led the growth of the Resources platform from 250,000 to 750,000 monthly unique downloaders. During their eight years at Tes, Magda also ran the Content Management and Curation teams, drove global teacher insights, and managed third-party partnerships across government, public institutions, charities, and private business. Magda is a passionate advocate for education and has dedicated their career to improving access to quality resources for teachers and students worldwide.
Magda Wood studied for a HE Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck, University of London, before completing a PGCE in Primary Education at Roehampton University. Magda then went on to study for a BA Hons in Anthropology at the University of Kent.
