Venesia Hurtubise has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Venesia began their career as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the University of New Haven in 2010 and subsequently worked as a Student at Imperial College London, where they focused on synthesizing surface units for gold nanoparticles.
In 2012, Hurtubise joined the Naugatuck Board of Education as a Substitute Teacher, gaining valuable experience in the education sector. Venesia then returned to the University of New Haven as an Adjunct Professor, instructing General Chemistry (II) Lab and delivering lectures to undergraduate and graduate students.
In 2014, Hurtubise joined MicroCare Corporation, where they held two roles. First, as a Chemist, they conducted Quality Control, Research and Development, and Technical Service for customers. Venesia also utilized the lab's capabilities to customize formulas for specific cleaning applications. Later, Hurtubise transitioned to the position of Sales Engineer, providing technical service and training to customers in New England.
In 2021, Hurtubise joined Kirschbaum Law Group, LLC as an Attorney, specializing in criminal defense and habeas corpus law. Venesia managed client cases from research to litigation and was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut.
Most recently, in 2023, Hurtubise became the Vice President of Technology at MicroCare, LLC. Their role involves overseeing technology-related operations within the company.
Through their varied roles, Hurtubise has accumulated a wealth of experience in laboratory work, teaching, legal practice, and technology management.
Venesia Hurtubise began their education in 2008 at the University of New Haven, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry in 2012. Following that, from 2012 to 2013, they attended Imperial College London and completed a Master of Research degree in Green Chemistry. Additionally, during their time at Imperial College London, they also earned a separate Master of Research degree, specializing in Green Chemistry. Venesia then pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) at the University of Connecticut School of Law from 2017 to 2021.
