James Kusena, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. James Kusena PhD has an extensive education history. In 2011, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Keele University. James then pursued further studies and from 2015 to 2019, they attended Loughborough University where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering.

In 2018, James also attended a Summer School at the University of Toronto, focusing on the Commercialization of Regenerative Medicines.

Their education continued with executive programs. In 2022, they completed Executive Education in Executive Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Furthermore, James obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These include Strategic Decision Making for Leaders from Bayes Business School, Leadership Coaching Strategies and Strategic Leadership from Professional Development - Harvard Division of Continuing Education, and Finance for Non-Financial Directors from In Professional Development (InPD).
